This privacy notice will inform you about the processing of your personal data that we collect from you in connection with your participation in Veoneer Safety Systems´ events (hereinafter: event).
The term “event” includes the following:
- company parties (e.g., summer parties / all-hands meetings / Christmas parties); and
- sports events funded by Veoneer Safety Systems (e.g., running events such as city runs, mountain runs); and
- trade shows / events (e.g., recruitment fairs, sales events, Tech Days); and
- team events, if they are funded by Veoneer Safety Systems.
Your personal data will be processed in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
The term “personal data” refers to all information related to any identified or identifiable natural persons.

Personal data processing and purposes of data processing
Event registration
If you want to register for an event, we collect the following mandatory data:
Name, first name,
Email address
Private address (possibly)
Company name (possibly)
Company address (possibly)
Job role (possibly)
Date of birth (possibly).
The purpose of processing these data is to identify you as event participant, to check the provided data for plausibility, and to reserve a spot for your participation.
We also require your data in order to prepare name badges and lists of participants for other participants, as applicable, and to supply you with event information before, during, and after the event. This is done to allow us to plan the event and ensure that it goes smoothly.
Further information can be provided voluntarily. Voluntary data allow us to plan and conduct the event in accordance with participants’ interests.
We process your data on the basis of Veoneer Safety Systems´ legitimate interest in notifying our employees on company events and in organizing them.
Photos and videos
Photos and videos will be taken to document the event in pictures. Since you may be identified in these images, either directly or indirectly, they represent personal data.
The images will be used for news reporting directly associated with the event as well as for internal reporting at Veoneer Safety Systems.
Furthermore, the images will be published for the purpose of reporting on our social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Xing, Facebook, Instagram and our website. This processing is required in particular to document and promote our event.
In principle, photos are limited to group and crowd shots. If you pose for our photographer, we will derive your consent from this. You may withdraw your consent at any time, including the case of photos in which you may appear incidentally, by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or reaching out to Veoneer Safety Systems´ local HR department.
Be aware that you will not receive any remuneration for the collection, processing, publication and use of the image and video recordings by Veoneer Safety Systems.
Third parties, retention and security
We do not transfer your personal data to third parties for purposes other than those described above. Third parties, such as an external service provider for marketing purposes, catering service providers, external event organizers are allowed to process your personal data on our behalf on our explicit written instruction, only. We ensure that third parties are committed to observing the safety and integrity of your personal data.
Your personal data are only processed for as long as needed to achieve the purposes listed above or until such time you withdraw your consent for processing them. We will delete your personal data when they are no longer necessary for the purposes outlined above, unless there is:
- an overriding interest of Veoneer Safety Systems, in keeping your personal data identifiable, or
- a legal or regulatory obligation or a judicial or administrative order that prevents us from deleting them.
We will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to keep your personal data safe from unauthorized access or theft as well as accidental loss, tampering or destruction. Access by our personnel or third parties’ personnel will only be on a need-to-know basis and be subject to strict confidentiality obligations.
Rights of the data subject
As a data subject, you may exercise the following rights:
Withdraw your consent at any time. This means that we may not continue the data processing based on that consent in the future.
Obtain access to your personal data processed by us. In particular, you may request information about the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data concerned, the categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, and the envisaged period for which the data will be stored.
Obtain the rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of your personal data without undue delay.
Obtain the erasure of personal data saved by us unless processing is necessary to exercise the right of freedom of expression and information, to comply with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Generally, you may contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, place of work or the registered offices of our organization.
Object to the processing of your personal data if reasons exist for doing so that are based on your special situation.
