Meet our Colleagues
Take the opportunity to learn what some of our colleagues think about working at Veoneer. What do they like with their job?

A typical day for me starts with reviewing my schedule, reading emails, and checking messages to ensure there are no other priorities beyond what's already scheduled. Afterward, I typically respond to emails and, while I'm still fresh, begin working on my tasks. Before noon, I participate in a SCRUM meeting with the team. In the afternoon, I continue with my tasks and may conclude the day with a meeting with one of our clients.
The best thing with my job is that I appreciate the flexibility and the valuable opportunities for global collaboration with all Veoneer sites in various roles, engaging in challenging work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The most significant challenge was creating tools to interact in real-time with an Airbag ECU, as well as developing tools to manage statistic and data stored in databases.
I'm glad that, over time, we have built a trusting relationship with our clients. Based on our experience, we can enhance the quality of the development process by creating tools that improve efficiently, accurately and automate processes, eliminating potential human error. The tools we deliverer are used by the platform and all projects based on that specific platform, including Ford, GM, Stellantis, Geely, Mazda, FCA, HKMC and others.
In my view, software tools act as superheroes for developers, testers and users, always ready to step in and save the day!

A typical day, I will check in the production teams around the plant. We resolve issues and work on continuous improvements to ensure or customers get the products they need when they need them.
The best thing with my job is the opportunity to work with a great team on building products of vital importance. Periodically we receive testimonials from car crash survivors (or their parent) and on those days I am especially proud of our world class quality record and of what we do.
Thank you to the whole Veoneer team!

A typical day, is never typical… It can start with a coffee and small talk with a colleague, or it can be fully booked with challenging topics to cover, but in Veoneer each day is a good day for innovation, curiosity and doing things right.
The best thing with my job is that it’s never boring, I keep learning new things every day and interact with engaged engineers which passionately contribute to live saving products. I enjoy traveling in my car knowing that the RCS system designed by my team is keeping me safe.
I’m proud to contribute to a system that saves lives and is present in so many vehicles on the road.
Igor Granson
Director Commercial and Program Management
Employed at Veoneer (Autoliv) since July 2006.
A typical day I start with e-mail check, followed by responses to some e-mails, review of my tasks, overview about meetings and phone calls and then move to several cycles of preparations, document creations, meetings, discussions and the final conclusion what is remaining open for the coming days and what are the biggest priorities.
The best thing with my job is that I’m working in an international environment with people I trust and have high respect to, for their experience, motivation, skills and personalities.
It is great to have flexibility and ability to find solutions and to be able to exchange ideas with other team members as well as to learn about their views, concerns and solutions.
We have great products and achievements. Many people are in the company for long time and have been influencing the culture of Veoneer. I like the fact we can speak openly with anyone in the company regardless of the hierarchical position and we care about the results of our work and ability to help others. It is great, when we can demonstrate our knowledge to our customers and be proud of the quality of our products and skills level of our teams. It is great to realized that the executive team is interested in everyone in the company.

A typical day, I am a morning person who enjoys drinking coffee in silence, planning the day. The night catches me with a bedtime story for my son. Between these two events, I enjoy all challenges and events of the day. I often go to the office as the work implies test bench modifications and setup, but also because in day-to-day work, I often need to interact with hardware, tool or development teams.
The best thing with my job is that I really like the product and my work. The people I work with are also very important to me. We get along well and form a good team, which has a positive impact in my day-to-day work. This allows us to move things in the right direction and tackle challenges with high confidence. At the end of the working day, I feel useful and important.

Vice President Information Security
Employed at Veoneer since year 2019
A typical day, when I'm not on a business trip, I start a normal day by walking the dog and taking my daughter to kindergarten. Once that's done, I'll ideally ride my bike to the office. There I start at 9:00. After the first mails have been processed, we have, what we call our "Security Morning Show" every morning at 9:30 a.m. Here we discuss what is currently on the agenda. Then the typical working day is already over, because there is always something else going on.
However, the aim is always to strike the right balance between the implementation of internal and external security requirements and user satisfaction and performance through our measures and activities. Which, I can reveal here – is not always easy.
The only thing that is the same every day, there is lunch at 12:00 sharp! Just Germany! :-)
The ending is quite open-ended. I try to be home around 6:00 p.m. so that I can spend some time with the family and usually I sit down at the computer again at 8:00 p.m. for 1-2 hours.
The best thing with my job, there's no one best thing about my job. What I would name first is the truly terrific team I work with! Despite all the adverse circumstances in recent months or even years, everyone is highly motivated and committed and always having fun. This is especially true for the information security team, but of course also for the other colleagues at Veoneer.
From a technical point of view, I like the challenge of reconciling the different internal and external security requirements with the conditions and expectations of our company.
